Custom Ferrule Manufacturing
At McCormick Industries, we specialize in precision CNC machining. Armed with over two decades of industry experience and high-tech manufacturing equipment, we produce small and complex parts for customers across the aerospace, defense, general industrial, and medical sectors. One of our core service offerings is custom ferrule manufacturing.
Our ISO 9001:2015 registered manufacturing facility is equipped with ultra-precise Swiss lathes . This equipment allows us to serve as a ferrule manufacturer with capabilities for a variety of custom sizes and tolerances of ±.0001 inches.
What Is a Ferrule Used For?
Ferrules are a band or cap placed around a shaft to reinforce it or to prevent splitting. They are generally machined from metals (e.g., brass and stainless steel) or, less commonly, plastics. They find use in various industrial and commercial applications, including in the aerospace, automotive, electronics, general industrial, and lawn and garden industries. For example, they are often integrated into hose, handle, and wire/wire rope assemblies.
Our Custom Ferrule Manufacturing Capabilities
Our team offers an extensive range of custom ferrule manufacturing services. We can accommodate requests for ferrules up to 1.25 inches in diameter and low- to high-volume production quantities. By leveraging our Swiss CNC machining equipment, we offer machining tolerances of ±.0001 inches for diameter, ±.0001 inches for length, and ±.00008 inches for roundness.
